Snowmobile Adventure ~ Day 2
Well, it's day two. We're still here. We started the morning off pretty quiet. I woke before the girls and went to check on the fires as they still slept snug in the bed. It seemed to snow all night long. Luckily it had stopped by the morning. There was a light wind gusting that blew the snow like a sheet dancing in the wind.
Once the fires were stoked I manged to somehow open the front door and try to push some of the snow from the porch. I'd not seen this much snow since.. gosh, I was a little kid. I worked for upwards of an hour before I heard the pittter patter of small feet hit the floor.
"Mommy?" I heard my tiny Ivy calling out for me from the bedroom. She met me at the door as I was shoveling. Soon, Giselle and Maelie followed behind her and watched me work a bit.
The girls and I began to put on their snowsuits and were going to try to come out into the snow for some exploring and some fun!
Sledding!
While out exploring we came across a cave.. spooky!
and then we came across an ice fishing shack!
We stayed and played in the snow all afternoon; sledding, ice fishing, snowball fights and snowmen! We had a lovely time.. despite being stuck.. but hey, we all need a little adventure in our lives, right?
